REQUIREMENTS TO IMPORT AND CLEAR CUSTOMS IN DILI

When you have export plan to DILI, east Timoer leste, please make sure that you must have import license which dili customs neeeded, hereby i would like to share several requierement import clearance in DILI :

1. GET CERTIFICATE AND TIN NUMBER. that is mean : First, a certificate for business from the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Trade must be obtained. This is a licence to carry out economic activity in Timor-Leste. You will also need a TIN (Tax Identification Number) for business from the National Directorate of Revenue.
2. ORGANISE A CUSTOM BROKER , that is mean : Second, in accordance with article 1 of Decree Law No.15/2005, as owner or consignee of the goods, a special power of attorney must be provided to a Customs Broker who submits the customs declaration on your behalf through the Timor-Leste Customs Service ASYCUDA electronic system. A fee will be agreed by both parties
3. PAY DUTIES this is mean : Customs will assess the duty payable depending on the value of the item(s) and the duty rate applicable. See excise tax, sales tax and the duty rates of imported items for rates and items.
